WHO WE ARE
Candles In The S.U.N. (Save Ur Neighborhood) knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives through education, mentorship and co-curricular activities. Our Non-Profit Organization realized that by uniting together we can advance our communities and overcome the challenges faced by families and youth in intercity neighborhoods. It is important to uplift ur neighbor and shine ur light by being a blessing. The passion for advancing communities is why we decided to launch Candles In The S.U.N.

Candles In The S.U.N. is in the business of changing and shaping lives. The work we do at our Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing a realistic and impactful approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. We make sure our partners are empowered by creating opportunities for individuals and communities.

KYLE'S GIFT FROM HEAVEN
Christmas 2018
Collaborating with Kyle's Gift From Heaven, an organization dedicated to providing for youth with deceased parents. We were able to fulfill all items on all Christmas lists, but more importantly, let the youth know they are not alone!
Aside from receiving gifts, the youth were able to participate in various activities for toys, movie passes, gift cards and much more!
As Neighborhood Heroes, it is in our blood to go above and beyond to build impactful bonds with each individual we encounter.
CANDLES IN THE S.U.N. YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP
To kick off the summer, we hosted our first annual free football camp! Connecting with past professionals and current collegiate athletes, the youth were given the chance to display their skills and learn from the best!
S.U.N. Day Fun Day With The Heroes
According to recent CNN studies, 15 million children don't have money for school supplies. Therefore, the Neighborhood Heroes knew it was essential we did all we could to lower that locally. Along with the free backpacks, we also hosted a free community day! The day included food, haircuts, hairstyling, with carnival snacks and activities!

HOLIDAYS WITH THE HEROES
This holiday season, we decided to focus on providing meals more so than toys, because how cool is a toy on an empty stomach? With the help of our sponsors, The Neighborhood Heroes delivered more than 250 meals to Buffalo Public School families Christmas Day.
After feeding the families, we went to visit our friends at the NFTA Bus Station to distribute the remaining meals!

More than 1,000 medical masks and 1,000 pairs of gloves given to local residents!
